Lasiodora parahybana, also known as the Salmon Pink Bird-eating tarantula, is a New World terrestrial species endemic to Northeast Brazil. This species is argued to be the third or fourth largest tarantula in the world with some females growing as large as 11 inches. L parahybana is also a very fast-growing species that can reach maturity in as little as 2 years. This tarantula is known for being particularly docile especially after maturity, for this reason, this species may be the largest tarantula suitable for beginners.
