Heterometrus cyaneus is one of the few species known as the Asian forest scorpion and is native to the island of Borneo, Indonesia and the Philippines. They are typically found living on the forest floor in burrows underneath logs and other fallen debris. While this is still a good beginner species, they are known to have more of a nervous temperament especially while juvenile.
