This incredible millipede is part of the Desmoxytes genus, the family of dragons. Their visible spikes and bright pink colouration make these a joy to watch and keep. They are native to the Andaman Islands but have been introduced throughout East Asia due to the exotic pet trade.

These are a fast growing species and are full grown at around an inch long
They do very well and breed relatively easily :
Deep substrate which is a mixture of peat and coco fibre also containing lots of leaf litter, rotten white wood and sphagnum moss which is damp to the touch
I keep one end of there container near a low wattage heat mat they do well in warm humid conditions so if needed mist one end of the container
They don't seem to eat much in the way of fruit and vegetables but cucumber, courgette and apple seem to be a favourite food
I also put calcium dust over the foods once to twice a week
They enjoy fish flake once a week as a protein supplement
