Native to Brazil, Nhandu coloratovillosus, or the Brazilian White & Black is a beautiful tarantula and somewhat rare in the pet trade. It is known to be a nervous species and will not hesitate to flick its urticating setae (hairs). Their urticating setae are particularly effective against mammals, because of this in combination with their skittishness, they are not recommended as a beginner species.
