Pandinus imperator or the Emperor scorpion is one of the easiest and most popular species to keep in captivity. In the wild, they can be found in West Africa within a range of countries along the equator. They are typically found living in humid rainforests and spend most of their time within an underground burrow. This species can be kept communally and can even be found living in small colonies of up to 15 individuals in the wild.
