Franks passion for painting beetles started when, at 4 years old, his father gave him a beetle to care for and so began his fascination for these creatures and for all the natural world Frank started in the art world by creating tattoos of living creatures, and as his fascination of these creatures grew, he started to capture them on paper using a mixture of art pencils, crayons and inks Frank is self-taught as an artist and manages to bring these animals alive on the paper with his superb use of colour and shadow Frank paints in his studio in Venezuela
