You need careful handling and a strong hand lens to sex the giant ones, females have a row of tiny sensory hairs round the edge of the anal plate that help with oviposition. They are back brooders so you have to have a pair.
Keep in an aquarium with either pond water or rainwater from a water butt
They do not need a filter or any aeration
They need a surface plant like pond weed to hold onto so that they can stick their breathing tube out of the water to breathe
feed anything that moves, like crickets/fish/tadpoles/earthworms etc
